Why Rock & Roll?
From a music history perspective, Rock & Roll represents a culmination of musical influences over multiple decades. Enough time has passed so that we can see Rock & Roll as a uniquely American melting pot of musical styles. The affluence and positive mood of the country during the "Fabulous Fifties" provided fertile ground for the development of this new genre of music. Baby boomers from coast to coast rejoiced in the feel-good rhythms and uninhibited vocals to which they could easily relate.
