As a performer, teacher-artist and former artistic director of the Central NY Arts In Education Program, Monk knows how to build collaborative relationships between teacher-artist, teacher and student to foster creativity in the classroom. An effective classroom presenter, Monk creates an atmosphere for innovation and achievement of curriculum-relevant goals.
In his aesthetic education workshops for teachers, Monk shares his enthusiasm for jazz and rock& roll, creating a comfortable environment where participants can discover effective ways to present these great art forms in their own classrooms.
